Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi confirmed to his Japanese counterpart Toshimitsu Motegi that he sees «positive signs» in bilateral relations. China and Japan are important neighbors, and maintaining the healthy development of bilateral relations serves the fundamental interests of both countries. Minister Wang Yi emphasized the importance of joint efforts to strengthen mutual understanding and trust, as well as to resolve existing differences through dialogue and consultation. He also expressed hope that both sides will continue to promote regional peace and stability.
