The global technology industry reached a new milestone in 2025 with the consolidation of Chinese companies as the world's largest manufacturers of humanoid robots. 'The more robots are used, the more valuable real-world information is collected, which will facilitate the training of better artificial intelligence models,' explained Luo, highlighting that the increase in Chinese production, with expansion plans already confirmed by firms like EngineAI, will accelerate this cycle of learning and efficiency.

Second place went to other Chinese companies such as Unitree (Hangzhou) with 4,200 units and UBTECH (Shenzhen), which reached 1,000 robots. While AgiBot and UBTECH orient their production towards commercial and industrial applications, Unitree has achieved strong penetration in the fields of research, education, and consumer markets.

According to a report from the London-based consultancy Omdia, the Asian giant leads in both production volume and innovation, marking a rapid rise in this strategic sector. Shanghai-based AgiBot ranked first globally by shipping more than 5,100 units, representing a 39% share of the global market.

Luo Jianlan, Chief Scientist at AgiBot, anticipated that 2026 will mark the transition from robots performing 'many tasks with limited competence' to machines capable of fulfilling high-performance duties in real-world practical applications.

Overall, annual global shipments were estimated at 13,000 units, a figure that also included renowned US competitors such as Tesla, Figure AI, and Agility Robotics, whose volumes ranged between 150 and 500 units each.

Industry experts point out that the coming year will be decisive for the evolution of this technology.
