Beijing, Apr 15 (Prensa Latina) – China firmly opposes coercive diplomacy and will firmly support Cuba in defending national sovereignty and opposing external interference, the Foreign Ministry emphasized today.
The statement by spokesperson Guo Jiakun came after the latest threats from US President Donald Trump against the island and after interviews with Cuban leader Miguel Díaz-Canel to several US media outlets were published here.
Previously, the ministry of the Asian giant called on the United States to listen to the voice of justice and the international community.
Beijing urged an immediate end to all sanctions and the blockade against Cuba, while reiterating Beijing's willingness to work alongside the international community in supporting the island.
China has stated on several occasions that it will continue its 'support and assistance' in the face of repeated US threats, and condemned Washington's pressures that 'compromise regional peace and stability'.
