On Tuesday, China resolutely condemned the actions of the Central Intelligence Agency of the United States, which, according to a representative, contributes to color revolutions in other countries. Beijing also urged Washington to respect the fundamental principles of international relations and to refrain from attempting to undermine stability in other states.
"As a country that recognizes the importance of the principles of independence, sovereignty, and non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries, China categorically condemns the actions of the CIA, which are aimed at interfering in the affairs of other states and undermining international stability," stated the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China.
This reaction came as a response to accusations of international espionage against China, aimed at destabilizing its political system. Furthermore, the Chinese representative emphasized that the application of double standards in assessing the actions of specific countries in the field of national security is unacceptable.
