China's Stance on Palestinian Issue

At a press conference at the plenary of the UN General Assembly, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi stated that the Gaza sector belongs to the Palestinian people and cannot be separated from other Palestinian territories. He emphasized that the world in the Middle East cannot achieve peace without the world in this territory. "Gaza belongs to the Palestinian people and constitutes an integral part of the Palestinian lands," Wang noted. "Without peace in the Middle East, peace in the world will not come." "The Palestinian issue has always been at the center of the questions in the Middle East," the Chinese minister added. "We will continue our quest with the aim of achieving justice, peace, and development for the peoples of the Eastern region." It was noted that the first stage of the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel was completed last Sunday without an agreement on extension or the beginning of the second phase.
