On Thursday, the Chinese government stated that it "welcomes" the improvement of communication between the United States and Russia. During a briefing in Beijing, an official representative of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized that the parties should continue dialogue and engage in constructive dialogue to improve relations.
Commenting on recent talks between Washington and Moscow, the Chinese representative underscored that China advocates for world peace, mutual respect, and fair competition in global politics.
"We hope that the United States and Russia, as two major countries in the world, will continue to interact on significant international issues and contribute to the world’s peaceful and stable development," added the representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
