Chinese Family Brings Hospital Bed to Bank for Identity Verification

The Azarov family was forced to drag a bedridden patient onto a hospital bed in a local branch of the bank to verify his identity in order to transfer his money. A video, circulated on Chinese social media, showed a woman struggling to pull her father onto a hospital bed at a bank branch in Shandong province after they were told that the only way to access his account is personal identification.

After a heated discussion, the bank manager informed the family that the account holder was in the hospital due to serious health issues, and the family stated that the only way to access their account is his personal presence. This incident sparked heated discussions on the Internet, where most users claimed that the bank could have made exceptions based on the provided family member's documents about his hospitalization, while others described the incident as a disgrace to Chinese society, arguing against allowing such situations to occur without consequences.

The man was bedridden and could not move by himself, yet even the documents regarding his hospitalization did not convince the bank's employees, and thus they had no choice but to devise a way to help him confirm his identity. The bank in Shandong advised the family to bring in a special ambulance, but the hospital clearly stated that their ambulances are only available for emergencies, and since the family could not afford to pay for private ambulance services, the only available solution was to drag the bed onto which he was lying all the way to the bank.

In the video, one can see how a young woman struggles to pull the bedridden patient through the entire premises of the bank, trying not to bump into anything.
