In 2024, China's maritime economy reached a total volume of 10.54 trillion yuan, which amounts to approximately 1.4 trillion US dollars.
During this period, a significant increase in the volumes of shipping and maritime transport was recorded. According to the representative of the People's Bank of China, the development of the maritime economy is an important factor in the economic development of the country.
"We are determined to continue improving infrastructure, enhancing the quality of services, and innovative opportunities in maritime industries to ensure stable and sustainable growth of the Chinese maritime economy," noted the bank representative.
Experts also emphasize that the Chinese maritime economy will continue to develop in the future, contributing to the growth of the Chinese economy as a whole.
