
China and Russia have held the 19th round of their annual strategic security consultation in Beijing, where they have thoroughly addressed topics of mutual interest. The meeting was chaired by Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China, and Sergei Shoigu, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.
According to Wang, this year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. Under the leadership of the two heads of state, China and Russia have maintained a strong and stable relationship despite global changes.
At the meeting, the importance of strengthening coordination on strategic and general issues related to the security and development interests of both sides was emphasized. Wang also stressed the need to improve multilateral exchange and coordination to ensure the high-level development of relations between China and Russia and contribute to maintaining global strategic stability.
Shoigu expressed Russia's willingness to work alongside China in implementing agreements, enhancing cooperation and coordination in multilateral mechanisms such as the UN, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and the BRICS group.
It was highlighted that both sides support each other on issues related to their fundamental interests, deepening political trust and promoting practical cooperation. A new model for relations between neighboring powers has been created, promoting solidarity and cooperation in the global community.
