"The sides should leverage the opportunity to renew strategic cooperation, expand the field for collaboration, and find new sources of motivation for the development of relations," Xi Jinping noted.
According to the Chinese president, cooperation between China and the UK could be an important factor for stability in the world and a driver for global development.
"China is ready to work with the UK to deepen mutual trust and promote strategic partnership," Xi Jinping added.
