Chinese Woman Creates Amazing Carrot Sculptures with Her Teeth

A Chinese woman has garnered over a million followers by posting photos of her incredible sculptures carved exclusively with her teeth. 25-year-old Qin Qin, from Hubei province in central China, caught the internet's attention by posting videos of her carrot sculptures. The sculptures range from simple small animals and cartoon characters to complex and large models like the Great Wall of China and the Yellow Crane Tower, as well as artistic pieces such as phoenix crowns and silver hats worn by the Miao people, all crafted skillfully using Qin's teeth. In many videos, Qin is seen nibbling on the carrot she uses bit by bit, to prove to her followers that she used no other tools. Qin has given herself the title 'the world's first tooth sculptor'. She explained that she is not a professional sculptor, but received training in graphic design and 3D modeling during her high school and college years. Qin loved drawing since she was a child, as reported by the South China Morning Post. During the Chinese New Year holiday in 2025, while she was watching short videos to pass the time, she was randomly chewing on a carrot and accidentally drew shapes with it. She discovered her exceptional talent and became obsessed with it. Qin admitted that she used a knife to cut the carrot, but completed the rest of the process with her teeth. It took her about a week to sculpt complex architectural models like the Great Wall of China. So far, she has completed over 100 carrot sculptures. She recently started using her carrot sculptures to tell stories to a young audience. Qin grows carrots on her family farm and said they use the leftovers for cooking and feeding livestock. She pointed out that art has some side effects, as she felt pain in her teeth and cheeks, and her jaw became fuller. She also takes good care of her teeth, avoiding carbonated drinks and reducing her intake of sweets.
