Huawei Launches World’s First Triple-Fold Smartphone

The world's first commercial triple-foldable smartphone has been launched. It is a high-end model weighing 298 grams and has a thickness of just over 3 cm when unfolded. With a cost of US$3,660, it is currently only available in China. Although it does not yet have a release date in Europe, the 1 TB and 16 GB RAM version is expected to sell for 3,499 euros. In Argentina, its arrival will be delayed a bit, but it is expected to join other devices previously showcased by the company, such as the Huawei Watch GT 5 Pro smartwatch, Huawei Watch D2, and the Huawei MatePad series tablets.

Regarding its technical features, the smartphone stands out in the photographic section, with cameras that include a main sensor of 50 MP with an adjustable variable aperture in 10 levels, a 12 MP telephoto lens, and a 12 MP ultra-wide lens. It runs HarmonyOS software and adapts to the screen position, even when used vertically. The base memory is 256 + 16 GB, with a maximum configuration of 16 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage. The battery is 5,600mAh with 66W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

The device features three screens and a unique hinge system that allows it to reach screen dimensions ranging from 6.4 to 7.4 inches and up to 10.2 inches when fully unfolded. The panel is 25% more durable than previous models, using a UTG glass structure, an ultra-thin and flexible glass. The Huawei Mate XT ultimate design was showcased at the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2025) in Barcelona, where the company exhibited a range of cutting-edge products in various areas of expertise, including foldable technology, health and fitness, photography, and productivity.
