Cathay Pacific airline expressed its disappointment over the delay in the delivery of Boeing 777X aircraft.
Airline representatives stated that the delay in the delivery of 21 previously ordered Boeing 777X aircraft will have a significant impact on their business. The company had expected to receive the first planes in early 2021, but this will not happen until at least 2025.
"We are considering various options for rebooking our order of Boeing 777X due to its delay," said a representative of Cathay Pacific.
This situation is related to Boeing rescheduling its production timeline and also facing technical problems during the development of the new aircraft model. In turn, Boeing representatives assured that they are working on resolving these issues and are trying to expedite the production process of the Boeing 777X.
