China's Foreign Exchange Reserves Rise in January

China's State Administration of Foreign Exchange reported that the dollar index fell in January, while prices for major global financial assets generally rose, influenced by monetary and fiscal policies and market expectations in major economies. The administration explained that the combined impact of exchange rate fluctuations and asset price changes contributed to an increase in China's foreign exchange reserves last month. China's total foreign exchange reserves reached 3.3991 trillion dollars at the end of January, an increase of 41.2 billion dollars, or 1.23%, compared to the end of last December.
