China Plans to Resume NVIDIA H200 Chip Imports

China plans to approve some H200 chip imports from NVIDIA in the first months of the current year, allowing the company to return to this vital market. This measure is similar to steps taken by the Chinese government against foreign products, such as devices from Apple and chips from Micron Technology. Chinese regulators are still studying how many local chips companies must purchase alongside H200 chips. Beijing has stipulated that these chips cannot be used in military institutions, sensitive government agencies, critical infrastructure, and state-owned companies for security reasons. On the other hand, NVIDIA has imposed conditions on its clients.
