A recent report indicated that China plans to capture more than half of the global production of humanoid robots this year. This points to the accelerated pace of development in this strategic sector, which represents one of the important frontiers in the field of artificial intelligence and automation.
According to a report shared by the newspaper 'China Daily', prepared by the company 'Leader Robots' and nine other research institutions, it is predicted that Chinese production of humanoid robots will exceed 10,000 units this year, with expected sales reaching 8.24 billion yuan (1.14 billion US dollars).
The report also indicates that the humanoid robot industry is preparing to transition from experimental projects to mass commercial marketing, thanks to reduced costs and the growing maturity of supporting ecosystems, similar to the steady growth achieved by China in the electronics sector against competing models in the global market.
