China urged the USA yesterday to correct its erroneous trade practices if they want to start negotiations with it regarding mutual tariffs, which affect the two largest economies in the world, indicating that it "assesses" the US request to begin trade talks between the parties.
In its statement, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce noted: "If the United States wants to talk, it should demonstrate its sincerity in this, be ready to correct its erroneous practices, eliminate one-sided tariffs, and take necessary measures."
It also clarified that at present, it considers the US proposal on conducting negotiations regarding tariffs, which affect the parties mutually through their goods.
