The American automaker Ford Motor announced on Friday that it has suspended shipments of vans, small trucks, and sports cars to China.
Ford made this decision due to the deteriorating situation in the Chinese market, where demand for such models has decreased. As a result, Ford halted production and supply of certain models to avoid excess inventory.
"We continue to evaluate the market and adapt our business to respond to changes in consumer demand," the company stated.
This decision was made after Ford's sales in the Chinese market fell by 26% last year. The company is focusing on its more popular models, such as crossovers and electric vehicles, which are gaining greater popularity among consumers in China.
