
Once informed, a source revealed to Reuters that the Chinese giant electric vehicle manufacturer BYD is considering the possibility of opening its third assembly plant in Europe.
Company representatives are exploring various options for placing the new production facility while simultaneously studying potential markets and investment opportunities.
BYD already has assembly plants in the Netherlands and France. The launch of a third plant in Europe will become part of the company’s strategy to diversify production and increase its market share in the region.
"Opening a new plant will improve the supply response to BYD production in the European market, which will be an important step for the company in strengthening its position in the global automotive industry," the source stressed.
