China Vows Firm Response to US Trade Tensions

On Friday, China's Minister of Foreign Affairs Wang Yi expressed a warning about a tough response if Washington continues its trade confrontation. In this context, the meeting of the Chinese Council on Foreign Relations was discussed. During the meeting, Wang Yi pointed out that China is preparing to take all necessary measures to protect its lawful interests.

He stated: "If the U.S. continues its erroneous practice, China will necessarily respond with the necessary resolution and will show that it is ready to act to protect its legal rights." The parties also discussed the need to strengthen cooperation on issues of disarmament, terrorism, cybersecurity, and combating climate change.
