
According to the China Automobile Association for passengers, in May, over 1.9 million passenger cars were sold in the secondary market, which is 1.1% higher than the figure for the previous year.
Sales of electric and hybrid vehicles also increased. During the same period, over 217 thousand such cars were realized, which constitutes an increase of 177.6%.
However, sales of gasoline and diesel cars decreased. In May, their sales decreased by 5.5% compared to the previous year.
"The growth in sales of electric and hybrid vehicles is significantly associated with the introduction of new models from domestic automakers and the support of the authorities in this area," the association added.
