According to the Chinese Ministry of Natural Resources, the Chinese marine economy is projected to experience strong growth in 2024.
According to a report from the agency "Xinhua," referencing the aforementioned ministry, the added value of China's marine industry increased by 7.2% compared to the previous period. This sector of the country's economy encompasses industries such as marine agriculture, the utilization of marine resources, as well as production and service sectors.
Moreover, according to official data, the gross output of marine industries in China for 2024 is expected to rise by 4.9%, which is also an important indicator of the effectiveness of sector development.
One of the major achievements of the Chinese marine industry has been the growth of exports of goods related to maritime activities. Exports of these goods from China increased by 4.6%, amounting to a total of 1.65 trillion yuan.
Overall, the Chinese marine economy continues to actively develop and remains one of the key sectors of the country's economy.
