China has approached the WTO with a complaint against the United States, accusing them of introducing unfair measures that, according to China's claims, contradict the rules of international trade.
"These trade measures by the U.S. violate WTO rules and undermine the authority of the international trading system," emphasized the Chinese representative. Furthermore, he stated that China intends to protect its legal interests through the courts. China also pointed out that the U.S. violates the principles of transparency, fairness, and non-discrimination in trade.
According to Chinese representatives, such measures could damage the global economy, provoke rising protectionism, and disrupt the process of global economic recovery after the pandemic.
