China announced the successful completion of the first cargo drone flight between cities, which is a significant step in the integration of technology and artificial intelligence in the aviation sector. According to China Central Television (CCTV), the drone, developed using prior Chinese technologies, completed the journey from Yulin to Sian in 2 hours and 47 minutes, transporting a batch of fresh barine.
The aircraft has a cargo capacity of up to 1.5 tons and a flight range of up to 1200 kilometers. It is equipped with intelligent obstacle avoidance systems, ensuring safe operation in various weather conditions, including night flights.
This achievement contributes to China's strategy for expanding the application of unmanned aerial vehicles in the logistics sector, helping to accelerate the transportation of goods, reduce operational costs, and speed up digital transformation in air freight services.
