Chinese company Baidu, a leader in search systems, announced that from April, the artificial intelligence chatbot named "Ernie Bot" will become available for free thanks to improved technologies and reduced costs. This was reported on the company's official website. The intelligent chatbot will be available for free to all computer and mobile device users.
Baidu's competition in the field of artificial intelligence in China strengthens companies like DeepSea, which offers free chatbot services with artificial intelligence support. The starting company claims that its capabilities do not lag behind the functionalities of products from leading American manufacturer OpenAI, but have a lower service cost.
Baidu was one of the first Chinese companies to enter the field of artificial intelligence, releasing its own chatbot named ChaTGPT in 2022. However, the company faced difficulties in gaining widespread recognition for its developing language model named "Ernie." It noted that the newer capabilities of the latest version "Ernie 4.0" are comparable to those of "ChaTGPT-4."
