Moscow schools will start introducing lessons on artificial intelligence from the new school year, reported the Xinhua agency. Since the beginning of this year, a shock has come from the launch of the Chinese company DeepSeek's intelligent robot for communication based on artificial intelligence. The DeepSeek program is said to be able to compete or even outperform Western competitors such as ChatGPT, with significantly lower costs.

A minimum of eight hours of lessons on artificial intelligence is planned to be offered in city schools starting from September 1. Lessons may be presented as an independent subject or integrated into existing ones, such as information technologies or science. In its statement, the Beijing Educational Committee reported that "innovative teaching methods will be used, including smart devices and research instruments based on artificial intelligence, as well as other intelligent learning programs for the process of education."

They also noted that Beijing is also planning to explore greater opportunities for collaboration between universities and secondary schools for the development of talents in the field of artificial intelligence.
