A report from a think tank published today details the strategic framework for China's economic and social development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030). The report was unveiled in Beijing at a symposium on the guiding principles of a key plenary session of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) held at the end of October. The event was organized by high-level national think tanks from the Party's Central Institute of History and Literature and Xinhua News Agency. Jointly prepared by the two think tanks, the report provides an in-depth analysis and prospective assessment of China's development priorities for the 15th Five-Year Plan period. At the symposium, Qu Qingshan, director of the Party's Central Institute of History and Literature, highlighted that the leadership's guidelines for formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan, adopted at the fourth plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, serve as another general mobilization and deployment to advance China's modernization. In his speech, Fu Hua, president of Xinhua News Agency, stated that the think tank report represents the latest research advancement, based on a profound understanding of the guiding principles of the plenary session. The report "seeks to interpret the wisdom that continues to guide China's journey of modernization," he added. More than 200 participants from over a hundred countries attended the event to exchange views.
