DMCC, the international business district facilitating global trade through Dubai, has solidified two significant strategic partnerships with the Beijing Innovation Service Hub for Digital Economy Enterprise Going Global and Beijing Chaoyang Council for the Promotion of International Trade. These partnerships aim to enhance commercial ties, create new business opportunities, and strengthen DMCC's position as the preferred partner for Chinese companies in the region.
During roadshows in Beijing and Shenzhen organized in collaboration with Yingtian Global, senior business leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors gathered to explore possibilities for expanding into Dubai and beyond. Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC, emphasized the importance of these partnerships, stating, "With nearly 1,000 Chinese companies now calling DMCC home, our district has cemented its position as the natural gateway for Chinese businesses in Dubai."
The signing of agreements took place at DMCC's Made For Trade Live roadshow in Beijing and Shenzhen, revealing a 17.5% year-on-year increase in Chinese companies within the district, approaching nearly 1,000 overall. Through these partnerships, companies in Beijing will gain access to investment leads, market opportunities, and streamlined business setup solutions within DMCC, the Beijing Innovation Service Hub, and Beijing Chaoyang.
The collaboration between DMCC and the Beijing Innovation Service Hub as well as Beijing Chaoyang focuses on trade promotion, investment facilitation, and business matchmaking, aiming to connect companies with key stakeholders in Dubai and Beijing. DMCC presently hosts over 950 Chinese companies, comprising 15% of the estimated 6,000 Chinese businesses in the UAE, underscoring the district's appeal as a business destination.
The Made For Trade Live event series serves as a platform to promote Dubai as a global business hub, supporting DMCC's growth trajectory by showcasing the diverse value proposition it offers to Chinese companies for expanding internationally. These partnerships are poised to co-host seminars, investment roadshows, and networking events to foster cross-border collaboration, promote digital trade, and enhance transactions using blockchain technology.
The continuous influx of new businesses into Dubai through DMCC has bolstered the region's economic landscape, with the district attracting 15% of all foreign direct investment. The partnerships formed with the Beijing entities align with DMCC's commitment to creating an ecosystem that caters to tailored services, cutting-edge office spaces, and dedicated platforms for physical commodities and next-generation technologies like AI and Web3.
