Buenos Aires, December 6 (NA) – China has announced its willingness to cooperate with the United States on key global drug issues, provided that the cooperation is based on the principles of equality and mutual respect. A spokesperson for China's Ministry of Public Security confirmed Beijing's willingness at a press conference, when asked about the progress of cooperation on drug control between the two countries, according to the Argentine News Agency. According to the spokesperson, the drug control authorities of the two nations have been seriously implementing the consensus reached by their heads of state at the meeting in Busan, which has yielded 'significant results.' The spokesperson indicated that the interdepartmental drug control teams of both sides maintain 'close communication.' Recently, they held a videoconference to exchange updates and discuss the priorities for future collaboration in the fight against narcotics.
