A statement by the representative of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs was a response to a question about the possibility of halting the imposition of tariffs. "We hope that the USA will adopt corresponding measures and will be able to facilitate the creation of conditions for the return of trade and investment to normal, stable levels," the Chinese Ministry stated. It is noted that Beijing and Washington have already agreed twice to postpone the imposition of tariffs.
