
The spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Lin Jian, emphasized the importance of solid and constant development of relations between China and the Republic of Korea, pointing out that it serves the common interests of both countries. In a press conference, Lin urged relevant individuals in South Korea to stop fabricating and exaggerating false narratives about China, as well as defamations and politically motivated attacks that could interfere with bilateral relations.
"Once again, we urge the relevant individuals on the side of the Republic of Korea to stop fabricating and exaggerating false narratives about China, defaming it and attacking it, politically exploiting matters related to it, in order to avoid interfering with and affecting bilateral relations," Lin expressed, quoted by the Xinhua news agency. China has always upheld the principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries and trusts the capability of the Korean people to handle their own issues appropriately.
The spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry expressed strong discontent and opposition to the malicious association and exaggeration of issues related to China by individuals and forces in South Korea with their own political interests. He stressed that "throwing dirty water at your neighbors cannot solve your own problems."
Furthermore, it was mentioned that the South Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Union of Korean-China Parliamentarians have expressed their interest in developing relations between the two countries. Nevertheless, certain media and individuals in South Korea have expressed their concern over the political manipulation carried out by certain forces in the country, which has affected public opinion in both nations.
