Work related to the return mission of the Shenzhou-20 crew is proceeding smoothly and as planned, announced today the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA).
Following the postponement of the return mission, emergency response plans and measures were immediately activated, and a comprehensive simulation analysis was conducted, along with safety tests and evaluations of the Shenzhou-20 manned spacecraft to study the implementation of the astronauts' return plan, the CMSA stated.
All systems are undergoing rigorous joint testing in accordance with requirements, while reviews of the status and quality verifications of essential products are also being carried out.
Expectations on Earth
Meanwhile, exhaustive exercises for the crew's return are being conducted at the landing site, details a comprehensive report by the Xinhua News Agency.
The space station complex is operating normally and has the capacity to support the orbital stay of two crews.
The Shenzhou-20 crew members are working and living aboard without any issues and are conducting scientific experiments jointly with their colleagues from Shenzhou-21, the CMSA reported.
