Chinese company BYD has launched the new Song Ultra EV electric SUV. Built on the e-Platform 3.0 Evo with an 800V system, it features the second-generation BYD Blade Battery. The model comes with two battery options offering a range of up to 710 km.

Chinese company BYD has launched its new Song Ultra EV electric vehicle, which belongs to the sports utility vehicle (SUV) category. The Chinese company explained that its new electric car comes with a length of 4.85 meters, a width of 1.91 meters, and a height of 1.67 meters, while the wheelbase reaches 2.84 meters, indicating good space inside the cabin. The car is based on the e-Platform 3.0 Evo, equipped with an 800-volt electrical system. One of its prominent features is the second-generation BYD Blade Battery. The car's drivetrain relies on a single electric motor mounted on the rear axle, generating a maximum power of 270 kW (362 hp), with a top speed of 210 km/h. There is a choice between two different batteries; the smaller battery with a capacity of 75.6 kWh offers a driving range of about 620 km, while the larger battery with a capacity of 82.7 kWh provides a driving range of about 710 km. To enhance comfort and driving dynamics, the car is equipped with the DiSus-C suspension system. The interior is dominated by a 15.6-inch rotating touchscreen, along with a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel.
