In the silver economy segment, more than 80,000 companies have female investors, representing 46.5% of the market. Women leverage their extensive experience in family caregiving to accurately identify market demands in health management, elder care services, and education for seniors. They also create community platforms, develop age-friendly products, and help seniors build social connections.

In the green economy, female entrepreneurs participated in the investment of 445,000 companies, covering various segments such as clean energy, environmental governance, ecological protection, carbon asset management, and organic agriculture. Experts believe that the momentum of female entrepreneurial spirit will continue to grow and play an increasingly vital role in driving domestic demand and fostering new quality productive forces.

In China, the case of Zhao Chunling, chief designer of the domestically manufactured C929 wide-body aircraft at COMAC, stands out as the first female chief designer to lead a major national aeronautical program. Zhao began her career in the aviation industry after graduating and has played a key role in the design, development, and testing of aircraft such as the C909 and C919.

Female entrepreneurs are leaving a deep mark on emerging sectors and future industries in China. The female entrepreneurial spirit in the country continues to rise, with women playing a fundamental role in high-quality development. By the end of 2024, Chinese private companies with female investors surpassed 23 million, representing 41.6% of the total private companies.

These figures show steady growth, with more women investing in or founding companies. Regions such as the Yangtze River Delta lead in female entrepreneurial spirit, with Shanghai standing out nationally, as nearly half of private companies have female investors. Zhejiang, Beijing, and Liaoning also show notable female commitment, with more than 47% of private companies having women among their investors.

An increasing number of highly educated women are opting to start their own businesses at home or return to their hometowns, becoming a crucial driving force for rural development. In 2023, Zhao was appointed chief designer of the C929 aircraft, leading her team to push the boundaries of commercial aircraft development in China. "Jobs, roles, and challenges have changed over time, but my passion for aviation and my fearless determination have never wavered," Zhao stated.
