Chinese Police Resolve Marital Dispute Caused by Fortune Teller

In the city of Wuhu in China's Anhui province, police recently intervened to resolve a marital dispute after a woman accused her husband of infidelity based on online fortune-teller predictions. The husband, fed up with his wife's daily harassment, went to the police for help. The story began when the wife paid a fortune teller 500 yuan (about $70) who predicted that her husband was visiting hotels with other women. The husband tried to explain his loyalty, but was shocked to learn the accusations were based entirely on the predictions of a stranger he met online, prompting him to go directly to the police. The man said in his complaint: "She kept calling this fortune teller from early in the morning. I told her I can't take it anymore." After police intervention and criticism of the wife's behavior, the woman relented, and the couple returned to their normal, quiet life, according to local media.
