Chinese Robot Sets Guinness World Record

A Chinese-made humanoid robot has set a new Guinness World Record by walking 106 kilometers between cities in eastern China without stopping. The "Android A2" robot, developed by Shanghai-based "Agibot", set off from Suzhou on the night of November 10th and arrived in the Pudong area of Shanghai in the early hours of November 13th. Thanks to a fast-swappable hot battery system developed by the company, the robot operated efficiently throughout the journey, officially covering 106.286 km. "Walking from Suzhou to Shanghai is a difficult task even for many people, but the robot accomplished it successfully," said Wang Zhuang, Vice President of Agibot. He added that this achievement demonstrates the advancement in robotics, cerebellar balance algorithms, and endurance, laying a solid foundation for the widespread commercial deployment of robots. Another robot, "Tikong Ultra", developed by the Beijing Innovation Center for Humanoid Robotics, completed a half-marathon of 21 km in April this year in 2 hours and 40 minutes.
