Separate data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers showed that Tesla's exports from its Shanghai plant surged fivefold year-on-year to 20,000 vehicles last month. Sales of electric vehicles made by Tesla in China jumped 91% in February compared to the same period in 2025, marking the fourth consecutive month of growth. Additionally, the company's seven-year low-interest financing plan forced competitors like BYD to lower prices. Total sales of the Model 3 and Y at the company's Shanghai plant, including global exports, reached 58,600 units last month, following a 9.3% increase in January.
