
As a result of the incident caused by a "sudden strong wind," four tourist boats capsized and 84 people fell into the water in the southwest of China. According to information from official sources, nine people have died, and the search for one missing person continues, while 74 people have been rescued in the Guyzhou region.
The incident has raised the need for enhanced safety measures to prevent the increasing number of incidents in tourist areas and public places. News from the Shinhua agency reported that around 500 rescuers have been mobilized to deal with the aftermath of the disaster, and Chinese President Xi Jinping ordered local authorities to "take all possible measures."
"I didn’t think this would happen. When the wind started to pick up, I just couldn't hold on," shared one of the survivors.
